I've read some opinions here on Quiet Rock and the general opinion was you don't need to spend that much money. No one disbelieved their claims though (maybe just because of no one having experience with the different methods using regular drywall as well as this stuff).
My concern is my ceiling and the amount of weight I can put on it. So for this, I was thinking this
http://www.quietsolution.com/Products/C ... trock.html
The second product is serenity and it weighs as much as regular drywall and is 5/8 thick. It also doesn't require resilient channel (so it can't be shorted out). So for a small room 19X11, I wouldn't require that many pieces.
Any ideas about that?
I'm having a heck of a time finding a vendor to give me a price on a few sheets... supposedly the list price is $120 per sheet.
I know this stuff is disliked because of expense...but...

Welcome! It is a bit of a pun, but after this thread is moved. don't forget to calculate the cost of moving (shipping) the sheets to your facility.TomM wrote:This should be in the construction category...not sure how to move it
Nope. It works. Test data on their site from reputable test labs. It worksNo one disbelieved their claims though (maybe just because of no one having experience with the different methods using regular drywall as well as this stuff).
Good Luck!
