Is it significantly different form the Fairman and EAR products? Of course Tim didn't go for the physical cloning in his version.

Not really a bad price considering that the fairchild 670 are going used on ebay for over $20000.
I'd be careful about which types of tubes were used in the design as well. The fiarchild uses 9 6386 dual triodes which are now very rare. A retube could cost in excess on $2000 USD
