Any ideas how to hang/attach clouds to my ceiling drywall where there are no joists.
My ceiling is two layers of 13mm plasterboard attached to hat channels but the hat channels are hard to find now the ceiling is painted and they don't really match up with where I want to hang the clouds anyway.
How about some of those heavy duty, screw in type, plasterplugs and then a hook into those for the wire?
Anyone had any experiance doing this? Tried a search but no info found.
I had the same issue in my studio.. I used Eye-bolts. The trick is to find butterfly nuts that will fit them. You take the butterfly nuts off the screws they come with and put them on the eye-bolts. I will have pictures of this later tonight.

Here is a pic of my cloud array. 4 - 2'x4' clouds And a close up of anchoring. I will be covering the ugly wires with some wire wrap to neaten them up a bit.
Each cloud weighs in at about 12 lbs. Thus only about 3 lbs of weight is on each of the ceiling anchors.

Thanks Andy,
I found some more info in a detailed seach. The thing to use seems to be those screw in metal plasterboard anchors that have a screw thread in the middle hole to accept a heavy huty hook.
As you say the load is spread acoss the four hooks as well.
Thanks again
