what fabric to use for bass traps

Find out where to get building materials in your local area. If you find a good outlet post it and others will be able to access it through the search engine.

Aloha,
i am trying to build my own DIY bas traps. my question is, is there a certain fabric to use?
I've read some have used any one of the following: Guilford of Maine FR701, muslin, burlap, fleece.

Preferably one that:
- is acoustically transparent
- has some kind of fire retardant treatment
- doesn't smell too bad
- looks professional

Having built a few treatments recently, I would suggest something from the Guilford of Maine - FR701/2100 or FR701/2511®Accents line of products which you can find at places like:
http://www.silentsource.com/acousticore ... hart1.html
http://www.acousticalsolutions.com/prod ... ilford.asp

Hope this helps.
