Audio cables...

Post by Henrik »

Hello,
my first post here at this very cool forum!

OK, so we're a couple of weeks from starting out the construction of our music studio. For the microphone cables we had the idea of cutting costs and improving audio quality by not getting those microphone cable snakes, but instead to go by the (more time consuming) road of running quality microphone cables to and from all patch bays and connectors. This will needless to say involve a lot of soldering.

So is this overly tweaky? Do you guys think we should just go with the snakes and not worry about how those tiny little leads will affect our audio?

Thanks

I think what you are doing is cool - if you learn how to wire it properly you'll now how to fix it.
