will this work with 9'x17' room/garage? also what size sliding glass door should i use as the divider? and is one enough?

which design were you refering to?? I or II ? with your room size I assume you are refering to II.

One sliding glass door with 3/8" (10mm) glass will give "reasonable" isolation and Flying Fox Studio http://johnlsayers.com/Pages/Flying_Fox.htm has just that and Grant isn't complaining, two is much better though. :)

thanks for the reply! At what division in the length of the room would you sugest that I put the sliding glass door?

It depends on what you wish to record - e.g. if you want to record drums you'll have to settle for a smaller control room than if you just want a vocal booth you can stick a gtr amp in. Maybe try a 11 x 9 control room with a 6 x9 studio.
