DIY diffusor kit

Post by Jim Schley-May »

Hi folks,

I've come up with a new design for a 2D quadratic residue diffusor
that could be sold as a DIY kit, requiring only glue to assemble. I
posting here to get a sense of how much interest there might be for
something like this.

The commercially available stuff is rather pricey for a lot of
people's budget constraints, typically at least $30/ft assembled. I've
seen a 1D kit on the market for about $15/ft.

My idea is customizable, light weight, and look very cool and
different from anything you've likely seen. It's mathematically
correct 2D diffusion. The prototype sounds phenomenal!

At a tentative price of $10/ft plus about 20min./ft to assemble, would
this be attractive?

Comments appreciated.
