Will this mic do?

Hey, i've ordered a Behringer ECM8000 but it won't make it here until I will need to install my speakers in the studio, I've got some other omni-directional mics, will for example the CAD m179 work for this application, for measuring low/lowmid freqs at least? It seems to have a very flat freq response from around 2k down to bottom. Look here: http://www.cadaudio.com/M179.php
