I posted this in the construction form but I think it belongs here...
How would you treat this room for decent acoustics? especially for recording drums!
The room is 22x27 8.5 foot ceiling.

I would start with superchunks in the corners.
Are the walls parallel?

Re: Where to start?
Yes the two long walls are but there is quite a bit of stuff in there to break the short walls. Im getting alot of reflection around the drums which I can hear when I record, this and where I monitor are my bigest problems. I was thinking of making some gobo walls behind the drums, treating the ceiling above the drums somehow and bass traps in the corners like you recommended.... I am afraid of making the room too dead, how do I avoid that?
do you have a link for the superchunks ?
Thanks !

Treat it for WHAT???? As a rehearsal room? Control room? Live room? How much isolation do you need? How loud are you? How quiet do you need to be?How would you treat this room for decent acoustics? especially for recording drums!
There's a whole bunch of things like that that you'll need to explain if you hope to get good answers.
Use the search function. There is stacks of information on superchunks here, as well as on everything else that you might need to know for any of the above options.do you have a link for the superchunks ?

Recording Rock, volume to the outside not a problem...
Live and control in same room. Ive built a 6x6 trap behind the drums with 4" of owens fiberglass and several gobo walls to break up the flutter echo. What else should I do. Picture attached.

Re: Where to start?
Going to make some superchuncks now that I found out what they are...! Thank You...
What should I fill traps with? I see everyone using compressed fiberglass?
I used regular fiberglass with my 6 x6 trap ... no good?, should I rip the fabric off and use somethinge like compressed fiberglass?
Whats the best material to use and where do i get it easily in the USA?
What the heck should I do with the ceiling?
Sounding better already... thanks in advance
