Treating a Room with Pipe Insulation
I have some extra 3/4" black pipe insulation foam and I wanted to add it to my back wall in addition to some acoustic panels. The room is a little bright now and I was wondering if anyone might know if this would help or not. Anyone dealt with this stuff for acoustics before?

If you mean that dense plastic foam stuff, it will not do anything useful that I'm aware of. I suggest you stick with materials that are proven and known to work.

No not that cheap plastic stuff, like this comes in sheets and it looks more like gym mats

I doubt gym mat material is useful acoustically. Again I suggest you stick with proven materials.
