Been on here awhile as IntelDoc but forgot my login, and my email has since changed. Anyways, I am looking to do a few tweaks to the studios main room but not sure what to do. Right now I like how things sound but realize that it will never be perfect. I am considering building a wall of skyline diffusers and putting them along the side wall. The plan would be to have a few (probably 4) sets of 2' x 4' ones spec'd out to all the threads that I have read on them. I was going to have 2 feet below the diffusers that would be all bass trapping. The shelf would allow me to place the skylines on it and so on.
The right side wall is what I am trying to figure out. The room itself is 16 x 17 with 8.5 inch ceiling (sadly) but I have been working it for years now. Just getting bored and want to see if I can make it better. My other thought was to add 5 more acoustic panels on the ceiling to help that as well. I was always told to do absorption in this sized space for the ceilings, but have considered switching out a few panels for diffusers as well. Alternate sorta thing.
The rug is covering a window - the studio is underground completely so I no issues covering the window (except for fire escape.
Thoughts? thanks for any help!
