I have the lower sections of my speaker soffits that I can either put 4 or 5 small hangers in or fill with batt insulation with a 702 2" cover.
The rectangle space will be under a shelf the speaker will sit on 20" deep 40" high and 36" long. (where the level is leaning.
The left corner of the triangle will be a mic and cord cabinet.
The room this is going in before soffits is roughly 16' long 13' wide and 10' tall.
This is the final soffit. You can see where the 703 will go inside against the cloth screen.
I am looking for the best type of low frequency absorption for the room.
Thanks
Bill

Re: Hangers or insulation fill??
After reading other posts about hangers I realize that no one is probably going to answer this. I am going see how the hangers work out and wait till the room is done and see how it measures.

Personally, I would go with hangers.... just make sure to follow John's advise on how to do them right!

The upper 3 feet are glass filled with 2" 703 on the face. The rest of the corner (middle section is closet.)
You can see the hangers through the hole where the snake panels will go. Got 5 small ones in there. they also have an cloth opening under the closet shelf.
