Heavy 4 glass window touching both leaves?

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Heavy 4 glass window touching both leaves?

Post by diaolosh »

Hi,

I got my hands on this window from a friend's old studio. This was built by a guy who Worked on a popular TV station here in Greece.
It has 4 angled glasses framed by really thick wood. this thing is very heavy 90-100 kilos.
The depth is 30 centimetres.

Do you guys think that such a window found be installed touching both leaves? It would serve no purpose to make another pane on the other leave after four glasses in this depth.
