How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Gimme a minute here...

Post by knightfly »

Guys, I know I'm getting behind on answers - unfurtunately, it may take a while before that changes. Between trying to stay ahead of the weather, equipment breakdowns, and somebody thinking I needed a good cold, I'm a little out of it momentarily.

I'd really appreciate it if those of you who are relatively new to the board would make sure you've checked out all the REFERENCE section before you ask your questions, and try to reason out what YOU think you should do - it's much easier for me to agree or disagree than to start from scratch.

Also, if some of our regulars can pitch in as you've done, now's the time it would help even more than usual, thanks...

I'll try to catch up on things in a few days, sorry but that's probably the best I can hope for - thanks for your understanding, gotta hit the sack now; 4:30 am comes pretty early, especially when you get to bed only 5 hours earlier on a cold... Steve

Hey ya ole fart, take care of yourself so that cold don't run ya completely down. I know. Last winter I had one that knocked me for a loop. 5 weeks to get normal. It takes a toll on us old farts. Hope you feel better soon.

Hello Steve. Give that cold a pat on the face  Hey Buddy, thanks SO MUCH for the call. You made my week. Sorry I haven't got back to ya, but my SECOND power supply FRIED after talking with you. I'm using my wifes computer right now. Hey, those 12 hour shifts suck. I've been neck deep in cabinet work for 6 weeks, 12 hour days too. Well hope your feeling better, and we'll talk again soon.

Everyone, just got my broadband back working after 3 days of BS; now it's 12-hour shifts for the next 5 days, so please don't panic; I'll do what I can for an hour or two each day, starting with oldest un-answered posts first.

This means that if your post hasn't been answered by me last, you'll get faster answers by NOT BUMPING; best I can do for now, thanks for your patience... Steve
