triple VS double pane windows

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

triple VS double pane windows

Post by zulusound »

Greetings, I am going to be installing new windows to the walls facing outside my studio- curious if a standard triple pane/ argon filled/ low E, would do better than a double pane. One of the windows is VERY large- 10' long. What I seem to gather from other posts is that triple could actually be worse than double, if all the window diameters are the same, as they could resonate eachother? I have credit at a specific window company and don't think they offer custom windows with 3 different thicknesses on the glass. Thanks.

What you gather is 100% correct. Triple pane is worse, all other factors being constant.
