How do you work the forum????

This is way of topic for this forum as whole but important (to me anyway). Is there a reference either here or on the net as how to use this forum's software?

I've figured out how to use the [QUOTE]...[\QUOTE] but not how to get "XXX said..."

I can't get smilies to show up except as WINK, SMILE, ANGRY, etc.

How to I include a link to a URL with different link text? For example "See this thread" but having that be clickable link the abc.efg.com

How can I include a link to another topic/page/post so I don't have to copy text from a thread that's already here but also not just say "Search for it yourself?"

There must be a little "user's manual" for the forum software somewhere.

When composing a message, under the "Options" heading there is a link to "BBCode." It points to this BBCode FAQ.
