DIY Home studio treatment,advice on panel placement

Hi,
I am about to start treating my home studio,my budget is 300$ Max.

My plans are to build 2 LF panels to place on the front corner (broadband panels,behind the monitors) and additional 2 LF panels to hang down from the ceiling above my sitting\mixing possition.

on each side of the walls there will be 3 HF panels parrallel to the panels on the other wall.

LF: 6` 42kg\m3 rockwool housed in wooden panels with no back covered with polyester and then fabric (placed 6` from the corner) 2 Meters High\long
(will be using http://www.bobgolds.com/Absorber/home.htm these as general direction

HF: 2` 24kg\m3 rockwool housed in wooden panels with no back covered with polyester and then fabric (mounted on the wall,2` from the wall)

room size: (Metric)

Width: 3.30
Length: 3.90
Hight: 2.75

Monitors: 8` nearfield ,Maudio Bx8 (will be replaced with a 7` "Adam"s during the next year) placed on stands,stands hight is 85 cm.
1.22 M from the wall (are my calculations correct?)

possible design:








*The glass window will be covered with curtain (still havent looked into non reflective matirials to make it from)

*I thought about building a large portable panel which will be placed right infront of the wooden closet so it wont reflect.

Tomer - the problem reflections you will experience will be primarily the ones that reflect back at you from the closet at the rear of the room.

I'd concentrate on deadening that surface in preference to the side walls.

Hi john,

Do you think portable panels placed infront of the closet might do the job?


Right now its impossible for me to take the closet out of the room and treat the back wall and I really dont want to permanently mount panels on to the closet doors.

Also room sounds wet ,i can clearly hear a fluter (which to what i understood is a sign of over reverbration and should be controled in a control room eviroment.) ,can strategic placed HF panels solve this issue?
