Post by guavatone »

Does anyone know of a source for OSI SC-175 or other acoustical sealant in Northern New Jersey?

Actually, I found DAP gutter & Flashing caulk that says "Butyl-Flex rubber sealant". My head hurts from trying to find the infamous "no-hardening" flexible "acoustic" caulk. Ialso want to find it at a decent price since I did find the expensive stuff at $30 a tube, I just can't rationalize that expense.

BTW I am using this for helmolz slats.

Go to toolup.com

They have OSI 175 at 3.95 per tube...and dealers may be near you. Its cheaper than alot of the Home Depot stuff that is not acoustic rated and you may just be wasting money on.
I put the ahhhhhyyyyyyyeee...in DIY. ::ouch::

thanks but I called like 5 places today an all except one thought I was crazy. Lumber 84 is supposed to have it but didn't. One place had the Cali company that makes quiet rock -the name eludes me.

I am crunched for time, since I am working in a garage with no heat, and I want to find it local. Maybe I'll hit up Lowes.
